i'm considering purchasing a 1981 C25, the current owner accidently dropped the mast while lowering for winter storage - problem - damaged mast below the swing bolt and damaged the furler track owner's solution - cut the damaged 2 1/2" off the mast and added an aluminum step under the mast step questions - was this a good solution? any idea what a new mast would cost? any additional concerns about tuning? thanks, rich
