Michael Cohn , wrote a post in regard to needingt a new door, so he called Hunter and as typical of Hunter, they are not much help in customer suport when it comes to their older boats... Why as the moderator would you delete the text from these threads ? BAD PRESS for HUNTER ? Hmmf quite unfair of you Mike,

...uh... how about we start with the Forum Archive link at the bottom of the forums listing, within the gold right-hand nav column on the home page. There, search under posts 7/6/99 - 12/22/99, you'll find three written by Michael about H45 doors. If you search prior to 7/6/99 you'll find 55 more posts by Michael. I'll guess a few of them are critical of Hunter. If we didn't move forum posts to an archive it would take all day to download a menu. Hey, we may need a little work on our user interface here, but that's a faaaaaaar cry from deleting posts. P.S. Your complaint did not go to waste, though. I did discover just now that when we removed Bohart's Hunter Rep forum we accidentally blanked out all the archive posts that came from there. ph.

Phil, shame shame

Phil, Shame on you. You should have reloaded 3 months worth of backups just to get this data back. What do you think this place is WATERGATE?

Not really...

I have written many posts critical of Hunter, and Phil has never deleted a single one of them. In fact, I wrote a few poking a bit of fun at Phil, and he even left those on as well. I recently contacted Hunter regarding a new roller furler unit for my H45, and I might as well have been talking to aliens from Venus for all the help I didn't get.... Bet you Phil won't delete this post! MC

Mike?

Mike Why would you contact Hunter for a new roller furler? They are not in the rigging business, you should contact a rigger. You would not call the contractor who built your house to get a new faucet for your bathroom!!! Bob

Always Helpful

I've got a 1983 model Hunter and the factory boys have never been anything but helpful to me??? Can't understand why you have a problem with them?? Ron

Bob..

I spoke with them regarding a recommendation for a new furler. They were pretty much clueless, and the person I spoke with wasn't even sure what units they were using on their new boats....other than that, everything was fine. MC

Jay...

Hmmm...you might be right....after all, it was 4 am in Florida when I called, and the guy on the other end did sound a bit peeved, and even said I had the wrong number...and made some comment about where I could "stick" my furler AND mast...he really wasn't helpful at all. :) MC

Back in 91 the wife called the factory at 1am on a Sat. night. Someone did answer the phone. Don't remeber what the question was but he was very nice to her.
