Hi Alisdair.

I've been a moderator for (?) 5 years or more - I responded to a request
for volunteers.

Perfectly happy to do it.

I've noticed that I do get requests to approve regular posters (see
attached screen grab) - no problem but unnecessary?

All the best,

John V1447 Breakaway

Unnecessary, so if you end up approving the same poster a handful of times I'd just change the setting; it's easy enough to revert.I've just had a look; there are five moderators - the three already mentioned + Chuck & Alan Yahoo! Groups Alisdair.

Moderation (according to Wikipedia) “is the process of eliminating or lessening extremes. It is used to
ensure throughout the medium on which it is being
conducted”.  Normality
or Normal is well mediocre at best, it’s a setting on my washing
machine.   As for
lessening extremes that seems rather dull.
Perhaps we could call them “minders” that doesn’t
seem too abnormal  or
placid. Anyone??
