What a great site! I have rescued a Macgregor. Here is the model number from port side aft, MACB22271073. What can anyone tell me about my new (old) boat. There were two trees in the cockpit the size of my forearm. Also, has anyone had any any experience with homemade sails for these boats? I only have a main and am thinking about making a Jib. Thanks and I can't wait to take this powder blue hull sailing. R, Duke

What kind of trees?

MacGregor planted teak in their early hulls, and later experimented with spruce and mahogany. Welcome to the fun. You can find hull numbers and lots of stuff at Wadlers.

Making a jib

You can probably get one from Minney's cheaper than the material to make one.
