Mobile diesel mechanic - western Lake Erie

I keep my boat in Michigan on the western end of Lake Erie. The marinas in my area do not offer diesel mechanical services.

Do any of you know of any good mobile diesel services in/near SE Michigan? I don't want to wait until I need one to start looking for one.

It might be worth it to take a Marine Diesel course and you could become your own service guy. These diesel engines are quite simple, easy to trouble shoot and repair. Perhaps it would be more of a challenge to find the authorized parts dealer for your area.

I totally agree with Benny. The best move I ever made was taking on the regular maintenance on my motor. Reading through the mx schedule and learning to do small jobs by researching them made me a much more knowledgable boat owner.
