Almost finished with total boat refinishing (sans bottom), and have a question for anyone who might know the true answer.

I used Interlux Brightsides on the top sides and Pettit EasyPoxy on deck with their associated primers underneath each. I am almost finish, just one small non-skid area to tape off and hit with two coats with a sprinkle of non-skid in between. Trouble is... I don't have quite enough EasyPoxy to finish it...so...my idea is to mix together in a 50 50 ratio Brightsides and Easypoxy so as to be able to finish this section. I have plenty of Brightsides left over.
My other options:
1. Buy a new quart of EasyPoxy - No time as I'd have to order it and I need the paint by tomorrow end of day.
2. Use Brightsides exclusively - But it's high gloss and hard on the eyes even in non-skid.

I'm thinking of mixing to knock the shine off of the gloss with the EasyPoxy semi-gloss.
I feel as though the paint mixture will be fine...but I want to know if there is anyone who knows if this is a fool's errand.
Thank you,
Dan

I'm familiar with Brightside’s, I just finished painting a Sunfish this past weekend. What is EasyPoxy? My advice is;
Call Interlux. I called them asking about waxing over Brightside’s and they are very good over the phone. (BTY, Do not wax)
Interlux makes a product called Flatting Agent which is suppose to take the gloss off their paints. Ask Interlux about it.
Finally, I wouldn't mix if it were me. Too much can go wrong and the risk of screwing up just to save a relatively small amount of money is too high.
Call Interlux. They'll probably tell you the same thing.

Do the first coat in brightsides and the op coat in easypoxy.

Thanks for the responses. Both EasyPoxy and Brightsides have been great.
AXEL...Interlux's flattening agent would be great but I can't get it by tomorrow, and I would tend to agree now about keeping the paint's separate. And I have no idea why I didn't think of Ross' idea of using Brightsides for coat one and EasyPoxy for coat two. Thanks!

Why pay for Brightside and have to order it. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a quart of one part polyurethane porch and deck enamel. It is the same paint for a lot less money.
