Ive seen this part listed as a 90 degree or a 45 degree. The one on my engine appears to be 45 degree but. Has anyone replaced this item on their 2GM? Thanks

I pulled ours off and cleaned inside. We have a 2GM20F and it wasn't bad. However I have a 1989 Hunter 30 not a 31. 2 bolts, an exhaust hose, and a water hose. I took the clamps off, removed the water hose, pulled the bolts then bent the exhaust hose around until I could get a screwdriver into the hose interface to get it to come loose. Going back together was a breeze. Don't forget to hook up the water hose. Don't ask how I know this.

J.R. I think the one they refer to as the 90 is the hump backed one as in the attached .. The 45 points back and a little down and does not have the hump in it. Yours has probably been changed in the past.. I am pretty sure it originally came with the humped one, but if you have the straight one and have had no problems ya might want to stay with it as long as you are positive that your anti-siphon loop is ok.

I have the '83 31. Claude is right it is the humpbacked one. I just replaced mine a few months ago. It is easier to take the manifold off and pull it mixing elbow and all. My Yanmar dealer carries the mixing elbow in stock all the time. It's a pretty easy fix.
