I take it the vent hose is still inside the boat. The vent housing must have been glued on somehow. The housing must have been thicker than the rub-rail,

WEST Marine, that looks like a typical fuel-tank vent fitting. You may have to buy the whole fitting, (vent with thru-hull) but they aren't exactly expensinve. Yo umay wish to switch to an all metal version even though it may cost more? Try calling Rudy at D&R Marine, he might have one sititng in his extensive "spare-parts" bin! (D&R Marine: 508-644-3001) Rudy might even have it on his website www.drmarine.com Hoever, it is not "O'DAY specific", so any good marine store will have them.
Looks like an off-the-shelf PERKO brand item.

Get the metal ones from west msrine. I replaced all of mine. You will find them in the fuel section as they are fuel vents. I replaced both vents on my water tanks as the small screens were missing due to extensive corrosion. The one that went to my waste tank was so badly corroded it wasn't venting particularly well anymore. The do have two option. Straight and 90 degree bend. The90 sticks a bit farther into the boat but you don't have to worry about kinking the hose going to it. The are more expensive. I used straight on the water and fuel tank vent and 90 on the waste tank vent (it was kinked).
