missing rudder and tiller

i recently came by a 22 ft catalina that had no tiller or rudder. i must move the boat within 2-4 days from the dock i now have to another, 8 miles away. the boat does not yet have a motor, so i will tow it. can anyone suggest the quickest, most economical way for me to obtain a used tiller and rudder, or can i cut one from lumber? any help will be appreciated. boat approx. 25 years old.thanlslee

Do you have any marina junkyards, repo, or consignment shops near by. Being from Fla, there has to be many places-ask the people at the marina the boat is at.

Cat rudder

I have a fixed rudder on my 76 model and would like to get a kick up style. Anybody have any ideas where to find a used one. Boat yards are pretty scarce here in Oklahoma. I probably won't be much help to the first letter in finding a rudder and tiller for his.He might consider borrowing one for the trip and after that, I think that you could build one from scratch with out too much effort. I can supply pictures and measurements from mine to help.Bob

Must be a rudder and tiller thief around. I too bought a cat22 missing its rudder and tiller. If you could contact me with dimensions for a fixed rudder, I would like to make one for my boat.
