Hi Folks, My Catalina 22's swing keel decided to fall off about two weeks ago- the cast iron must have broken above the pin, as the pin is still there but the keel is gone and the pennant is broken. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? I am going to try and recover the keel from the bottom, and figure out what to do from there. Maybe have it recast? Maybe cut a new one from 2" steel if I can find some in a scrap yard? I'm open to suggestions- anyone have any ideas? Nate Kirmmse nkirmmse@hotmail.com
