For just plain "sailing" the Windwards, and to a slightly lesser degree, the Leeward islands of the Caribbean are pretty hard to beat.
Most areas folks sail either have a very inconsistant wind or the island groups are set up east to west. The Windward and most of the Leeward Islands run almost north and south with a very consistant easterlly wind. This makes for some pretty fun sailing with the occasional romp.
