Hi All,
I put a new system (toilet, tank, etc) in my boat in the spring following Peggy's book. System works great put it has developed a mild odor through the summer, expecially when you open up the boat for the weekend. I generally keep the tank pumped and clear the line to the tank every night when in use. I needed to make some unrelated repairs to the toilet and I removed the 3 ft section of Trident 102 that runs from the head to the tank. I noticed that the outside of the hose has the same smell. From what I have read here, it is almost impossible for 102 to seep after 3 months. I checked it against a left over piece and there is a significant difference. The left over piece smells like rubber. Do I have a problem here or would this low level smell be normal and my expectations are too high....?
Thanks, Jeremy
