Older smaller microwaves - no turntable and rotary timer. Newer models turntable and LCD displays with clock etc.
Our newer microwave on 2500w inverter made terrible noise, turntable ran slow and the LCD display lost numbers. Ran ok on mains so could only assume the modified sine wave was the issue. Our vacuum bagging machine for food also succumbed to the inverter
