the price is right. It lacks some features of my Link 2000 that probably are not needed anyway. I did not see an AH(amp-hour) measurement for example. If you ever plan to add an inverter/charger you would want to consider that now. The Link 2000 not only provides what the Microlog does(and more) but also controls the functions of the Heart(Xantrex) inverter/charger. I bought a new Link 2000 off of E-Bay for about $50. more than the Microlog.
