I have a new 2004 26M with a 60HP Merc Bigfoot. I bought a UFLEX B184M throttle controller. I went to install the controller and now find that there is not enough room inside my small pedestal console to bend the controller cables enough to feed them down the pedestal pipe. Has anyone installed a UFLEX B184M unit on a 26M Mac? If so, how did you get the unit to fit in the console with the cables running down the pipe? On another forum, someone mentioned that the UFLEX B184M does NOT have enough throw to completely engage the Merc and this can damage the Merc shifter. Is this true? I have a copy of the 2004-5 Mac 26M sales video...and the factory is running a Bigfoot Merc with a UFLEX controller on the pedestal. Has anyone seen a 26M at a boat show with a Merc installed? If so, was a UFLEX being used as a controller. Right now I am dead in the water about controlling my Bigfoot!
