Hi Everybody,
I almost gave up on sailing, placed a classified on Craigs and eveything, but I had second thoughts and decided to stick with it a bit longer. Finding this forum has also helped and led me to buy a Tiller Tamer and Boomkicker (no more brain damage from falling boom).
I've had a 2003 Hunter 146 for three years, been out on lakes about 10 times, and still can't sail. I've read the books, wathced video, memorized the vocabulary, etc. But when I get on the water, I'm lost and can't tell the wind direction even with a windvane and telltales. I must be meteorologically challenged.
If there's an experienced sailor in Connecticut that would like to go sailing on my 146, or I will crew for you in your boat, please let contact me.
Also, is there a way to browse more than a weeks worth of posts?
Thanks,
Paul
