Our head is located amidships, one of the neat things about the design. Makes standing much easier because we're not in the bow and bouncing. Also, I installed a grab rail teak loop right where it should be so there IS something to hold on to. I can't bend my left leg much (yet, I hope) from the ski accident so sitting is a literal pain. I know, I know, mentors, schmentors, everybody has their own way of doing things. I use TP to clean up each time. What's so hard, yup, too many slobs out there, but heck they're our friends, too, else they wouldn't be on the boat with us, eh? :):)

Now to be fair...I did not so insist...I just asked for an explanation...Please explain why the air doesn't pass over the liquid in what is essentially a horozontal line?
Because the liquids completely fill the hose for the first few feet (up to 6')...then they "run out of gas" and start to flatten out. Up to that point air can push 'em without just aerating 'em. I've never quite gotten my brain around the laws of physics that explain WHY, I just know it works.

I got a urinal

I pee into a funnel that is pushed down the drain of the sink and then flush it with water. I figure that the body uses water to flush the waste out of the system, so water is all that is needed to flush it clean of the funnel and drain. Been doing this for 5 years and the funnel is just as clean as the day I bought it. By using this method, I rarely need to pump out. Funny how we get all weirded out by the thought of our own waste, so much so that we ignore common sense.

Vinegar Flush for Freshwater Intake Too?

Btw...hard pipe is just as susceptible to sea water mineral and urine crystal buildup as hose...so I hope you're rinsing out the system with clean fresh water and white vinegar before the boat will sit each time to prevent it.
Peggie, do you recommend vinegar flushing for fresh water intake systems as well? For some reason I thought that only involved sea water intakes, but your initial reponse to the PVC comment in this thread made me think otherwise. Thanks.

Not necessary, but can't hurt anything...

A thorough clean water rinse is really all that's needed in a system that uses fresh water, but white vinegar also deodorizes, so it can't hurt.
