Tim: Nope, there is no good alternative. You will have to remove the sails and have them measured by a official measurer, who will sign the sails. The good thing is you only have to do it once. Kill 2 birds with one stone - when you take the sails off, give them a good washing.

So I'm thinking of getting an official PHRF rating for my Catalina 350, and just about everything on the PHRF information form is easy to find in the boat specs - stuff like I, J, P, etc. But they also want actual measurements of my sails, measured off the boat. What a hassle! Any good alternatives or hints to make this easier? Thanks for any help. Tim Brogan April IV C350 #68 Seattle
