I need to replace several of the ports on my 1982 h33. In looking at the ports, I'm not sure how to measure them to buy the replacments. Is it the rough openings? if not, then what? Dave

replacement ports

I have Gray Enterprise ports on my 81 hunter 30, from what I have seen of H33s, there is a good chance you have the same. The name is printed on the trim ring on the inside bottom face. If you have the same ports, Bomar is the company you need to contact as they have the Gray Series under them. You can view their online catalog at www.pompanette.com, I don't know where that web address came from! I have emailed them about replacing some of mine and the measurement they prefer is outermost trim ring. I have a catalog from them if you need any other info.

Sizes for H33 ports

On the 1980 (and subsequent models look identical to me),you have six large ports and five small ones. the large ones are 7x14 (or is it 7x15..don't worry, they only make one or the other!) and the small ones are 5x12.

Agree with Pat and Tim.

Thrifty Mariner should be your first choice for replacements. Or for pieces/parts if you only need seals, lenses, dogs, etc. Your portlight sizes are the same as my H37C, 5x12 for the small ones, 7x15 for the large ones. You can check this by measuring from outside edge to outside edge of the "spigot", that thin frame that sticks out and gets broken when people step on them. Check the archives and photo forum for articles and photos about replacing them.

Port source

Agree with Pat and Ed. Thrifty Mariner . 5x12 were $33 and 7x15 were $38. A whole set for a H33 for $411 including shipping. We need a faq section for the Cherubini boats. Ports would be one of the first entries.
