I am getting a companionway hatch molded from a hatch of a 81' or 82' model. Does anyone know if this will fit my 79' model. The dimensions look the same but I don't have the comanionway hatch at all. How much would you pay? The ballpark figure I received was $2000.00.

I would try to make one myself before spending $2000 on one. It shouldn't be that hard.

I agree with Jim

You could make one out of Lexan for a 1/10th of that and have it look really great. Me thinks someone saw you coming from a long way off. I'd sooner buy a new main than pay 2G's for a hatch.

I would go w/ the Lexan, a nice smokey shade for that FL sun, and it definitely is a do-it-yourself project. How did Ivan treat your boat?
