Recently bought 72 Vega, MD6A . Am infatuated with her. She has
spent the first winter out of the protected environ of an interior
space and I have yet to commission her. I purchased her from the
reaches of Lake Michigan and am introducing her to the as cool a
shores of Lake Sebago, Maine then onto her first ocean adventures in
some years A three week stint in the Atlantic. Am concerned for her
age and her ventures into the salt. Am doing the zinc thing. Also
installing a fresh water flush just inboard of her intake. She's
about as pristine a craft as ever a lad might wish. I listen to all
and am greatful for the scuttlebut and any subsequent input. Rex

MD6A OWNERS ! Have spare parts available. INJECTION PUMP, COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM, INCLUDING BRONZE THRU HULL WITH SHUTOFF, STAINLESS COLLECTOR and VOLVO BYPASS MANIFOLD. EXHAUST MANIFOLD, VOLVO IGNITION with KEY. ALL PARTS VERY NICE CONDITION. Injection pump never tested but purchased from reliable Vega owner as working. PAT cell 302 344 2728. Where are you located? I have a '77 Vega with a Volvo in it. I am not
sure it its a 6 or 7, but I don't need it would part with it. I have
never had it running, but I have been told by the yard that maintained
it, that last time it was winterized it was in running condition. I
purchased it about 2 years ago, it has been on the dry for about 4. it
seems to be in fair condition, it is of course complete with the combi
gear and prop. Let me know if you interested, I do not need it so I am
williing to part with it. If you are interested contact me for further
info. There is a catch though, its still installed in the boat so it
would have to be removed first.
