Mayday Madness at Kerr Lake

Ok! the location has been finalised as Kerr Lake, North Carolina. The time is set as the weekend of May 1. We'll get together have cookouts, raft ups, cruising, infomal races, and perhaps have some sailing seminars. I'm also thinking of having some dingy races and some other fun and games. We just need ten more boats to sign up and Joel will give us all a cook-out!Tell you friends who dont have hunters to come too. We promise not to make fun of them. Kerr lake is wonderful and really big with lots of neat coves and usually good sailing weather in the spring.

So far there are a great range of boats signed on to come sail. Anyone is invited to come and sail and have fun. I think I know where I can "borrow" some dingy's for blind rower dingy races.

Kerr Lake Location?

Where is Kerr Lake in NC. Trying to figure how far it is from Va Beach. Will it be based out of a marina at the lake. If so can I get the name so I can find it on map quest.

Also Called

Kerr Lake is also sometimes called Bugs Island lake in Virginia. The Marina is Steele Creek Marina about 65 miles North of Raleigh, NC. This lake is in both NC and VA.
