While working on my failed steaming light (fixed now) I found out why my portlights were leaking. It seems the gasket which appeared to be adhered to the glass were separating. I didn't notice it before or was unaware of how the gasket was installed.
So as an experiment I went to Home Depot and got some window/door seal. It is 3/8" wide by 7/16" deep. It will compress to 3/16". I placed the seal just under the gasket so it would work together with the original gasket. Did a water test and the portlights are not leaking any more. This is a temporary solution that might end up being more permanent than not.
So why not just get replacement gaskets? Because I have to order them from Great Brittan at a very large cost plus VAT plus shipping. The gaskets are not available in the US and I cannot find anything close to the way they are designed.
For now this will be the solution. A few of the seals are not sitting right in the portlight making them look unseamen like. So I will eventually replace them. But, at least I don't have to worry about a flood in the boat when it rains. LOL
