Anyone just happen to know the drum diameter size of the Maxwell 18 winch? I'm thinking of trying the "Wincher" to convert this cabin top winch to a self-tailing model for raising the main. Anyone have any experience with the "Wincher?"
I don't know about specs on your winches but I have, and still do use winchers. It takes quite a bit of strength to install them because of the tight fit. On my first attempt, I lost one over the side but once you get them on, they work great.
