Anyone out there fitted a Maxwell RC 8-8 to the bow of their MKI?
I'm pulling the trigger on a windlass this year after rupturing a couple of discs in my lower back last summer (lifting diesel from the dinghy to the cockpit).
I know people have put the Lewmar V700 on our boats with success, but I was thinking of something a little beefier. Their V2 looked like a nice option, but everyone seems to say that Maxwell are more reliable.
I know there are lots of options out there, but I'm REALLY hoping that I can get one that will fit forward of the hatch, with only minor cutting. I don't really want to get into fabricating a bench inside the locker, etc, etc.
