Dear Don I have a 460 with a 76 hp yanmar and 18" three blade feathering max prop. The prop is set at a pitch of 16.6". The actual X and Y settings for the prop are in a previous post in the archives. The present setting allows the engine to achieve maximum RPM @ 3650. In calm conditions without current , at 2000 RPM's boat speed is approximately 5.5, 2500=7, 2800=8, 2900=8.4, 3200=9. These speeds are of course approximate with the use of GPS. This was with full fuel tanks (100 gal) and half full of water (100 gal),with a clean bottom.. I haven't, as yet, motored in any strong winds and head seas in this boat. In moderate conditions, 15 knots of wind and 3 foot seas, the sea state has had very little affect on speed. Thus far, I have been very impressed with the max prop.

I added a gori feathering prop. purchased from Denmark. 20 inch blade for 62 horsepower yanmar deisel engine. It has three operating positions. For most torque and highest fuel consumtion at 2400 rpm I move at 8.5 knots in calm conditions. No available adjustments to pitch. Set by manufacture with communication between Denmark and Hunter. Standard shaft size. Maximum rpm in efficient mode 3600 rpm. Cruise mode 7.5 knots at 2800 rpms.
