One thing that I learned is that not all H34's are made the same. Mine didn't allow access to the connectors located at the mast step w/o removing the mast -- the base of the mast had not access and the compression post didn't have any exposed core allowing access (all glassed-in). So I had the mast pulled and yanked all of the wires. I went w/14 guage wire (a little tight) and replaced the badly corroded coax for the antennae. (After climbing the mast and checking the signal at the lights) I determined that the problem was corroded connectors. I did 2 things: 1) I rerouted the connectors so that the coax and 2 light wires connect from the mast to the internal system at the forward port settee seat; 2) I glassed around the hole in the deck where the wires enter (using a film cannister of all things) to prevent future leakage. The bad part was that I had to bang the compression post out of the way to get at the wire harness which was taped together, and I had to bang it back out when restepping the mast. The good part is that I determined that I have little damage from water penetrating, I've arrested and present penetration, and my lights work!
