Masthead setup for spinnaker halyard

I have a 1988 Oceanis 430. As fas as I can tell, there is no built-in spot for a bail and block. There is a place in the mast for a spinnaker halyard which is marked at the halyard exit on the port side of the mast. I want to install the halyard above the forestay. Does anyone have any information as to what I need to outfit the masthead? This is for an asym spinnaker. Thanks

My boat has a the spin halyard sheave extended in front of the mast on a short "crane". This puts the halyard out ahead of the fore-stay and jib halyard. You should have a US Spars rig and they can help you with the setup, if it is not already in place.

Thanks for the info. I do have a Z spar mast - a 701 which changed a little bit at the masthead after 1998. The current one has a U bolt on the starboard, forward aspect to which a block can be attached. The older mastheads might need a crane and sheave added. What model and year is your boat? Did you have to do this rigging, or was it already there when you purchased the boat? I think I have to add a crane, but would rather find a bolt on vs drilling new holes.

I have a 2003 B411 LE. It came from the factory with a Neil Pryde Asym and related rigging pre-configured. It is a relatively short crane extension. Don't remember the mast extrusion number. The halyard is rigged to a starboard mast-head exit point. Beneteau USA may be able to help, if you give them your HIN.

You most likely have the same mast component, but the head is different post-1998. You most likely have a U bolt on the starboard side. I tried Beneteau USA and their reply was to hire a professional rigger since the boat is 24 yrs old. The US Spars guy was more helpful and there might be a crane which bolts on. It looks like I need to go aloft.........
