Does anyone know how much the mast weighs on a C30 standard rig? I want to bring the mast home this winter to do some much needed work on it and I need to know the weght so I can get the right vehicial to haul it. Thanks!!
Sorry, I can't give you the weight, but my wife and I carried our mast from our Cat 30 with little difficulty. That was with all hardware (backstay, etc) attached. It is not so heavy, but long for a truck. Try calling Catalina, they should have an exact answer for you.
You have a strong wife! My guess is about 225 lbs with hardware, stays, shrouds, halyards, and spreaders. Just the extrusion by itself, maybe about 175 lbs. I just had the yard pull my mast for re-rigging, spreader retrofit, and painting. We put it back up this week. Looks brand new! If you get an exact answer, let me know how close my guess is...
