To whom it may concern: We are retired and live in Phoenix, Arizona. Looking for a place to store our Arizona registered, 2003 22’ Catalina Capri sail boat for the summer. April 15th – October 1st 2004. The types of services we are looking for include dry mast up storage, dry storage or a slip and storage for our trailer. Mast - up storage would be our first choice. Dry storage our second and a Slip for third. We plan on using the boat every other week. Please send all information either email or snail mail to: Jack Ambrose 2544 E. Cheery Lynn Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85016 602-468-3108 jaminjack@hotmail.com

Mast Up

There was a mast up storage area at Marina del Rey, CA. Located next to the launch ramp parking lot. Very easy to use. Renters had a key to the area via the parking lot. Hook up, drive to ramp (just a few yards away), launch. Don't remember owner or who manages it, possibly the marina.

The Marina del Rey Harbormaster's number (who will put you in touch with the mast-up manager) is 1 310 823-7762. I believe Pier 44 maine also offers mast-up storage. 1 310 823-4593. Marina del Rey is avout five miles north of LAX and South of Santa Monica. Many marinas have small-slip availability. You should be abe to readily find trailer storage at many of the self-storage locations. Two of the better small boat marinas and sailing areas are Alamitos Bay in Long Beach or the Long Beach Downtown Marina. Both can be reached at 1 562 570-3215. Enjoy your season! Rick D.

Since the LB Downtown Marina...

...is mentioned, I guess we should mention that mast-up boat storage has been done at the boatyard (quite a large facility with a huge asphalt apron) adjacent to the marina. You pass it on the right as you drive towards the marina docks. Jack
