I had my rigging taken down and reinstalled by a ship yard on Martha's Vineyard. They did the worst work that I had ever see done before (when they actually did the work). The major problem that I have, after having them touch my boat, is that they forgot to install the mast tension rod. Inside the cabin there is a ball tang on the mast that connects up to the deck using a turnbuckle. Is there a way I can get the ball rod part of the turnbuckle into the mast to pull through the ball tang? We are looking now at taking the rigging down to put this piece in. Its amazing that places can pass themselves off as "a Shipyard", and screw things like this up. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks! Chris

Worked Great!

Fred was able to steer me in the right direction! The ball tang was able to fit into the mast. The Martha's Vineyard Ship Yard couldnt do it, and My rigger couldnt do it. But I was able to do it with Freds knowledge. I Tied a string to it and worked it in like a shoe horn, and lightly tapped it with a rubber mallot and it fit right behind the ball tang plate. then I was able to feed the string through the ball tang plate and pull the ball tang through. Thanks Fred ! Chris
