I have a 2000 Hunter 270 with the mast raising and lowering system. One of the stainless mast struts of the raising/lowering system is bent at the attachment point to the mast. Where can I locate a replacement mast strut or a threaded bolt with the bracket that attaches to the mast?

New struts are available on the site here. The 260 is the same as the 270 but water ballast vs full keel and internal aux motor vs outboard.

If the strut is not too badly damaged and you have all the parts you could take the damaged one to a local welder that is able to weld stainless and see what they would charge you to repair your existing.

I had this type of repair when our 260 was new and being picked up from the dealer. It’s been 9 years and I’m not sure I could tell which was the one repaired.

You could also have one made locally from the factory drawing here:

Is the strut the same thing as a gin pole? I'm not sure what part you are trying to replace.

If it is the gin pole used in raising the mast, the tubing is the same as the rail tube on a chain-linked fence. I made one for my H26 from parts I got at Lowes.

Thank you for the information. I will find a stainless welder.
