If you'll remember the question was, where should the boom be in relation to this line. OK. Here is the deal. I didn't measure but I did tie a thin line to the haylard ran it right up to the mast head. So it isn't the haylard. As you can see in the photo the winch is on the wrong side for the main but I used it anyway and with out getting the main much higher. I didn't really crank it as I was enjoying sailing with the sail and mast up. The bracket onto which the gooseneck goes is not the problem as I can lift it (gooseneck) up and off the bracket. The boltrope isn't in play as there are slide attached now. I suspect that leaves something blocking the track near the mast head. I have to take it down soon for a project so I'll look at it. Also wanted to try attaching a photo. More to come.You might also note that the Genoa seems tight. I wrote before that it looked too long. But there are two attachment points at each end. the longest seem newest. I suspect someone had it on a bigger boat. Seems ok now.Later,Mike
