I just bought a cat22 and wanted to check the through decks. I removed the mast step (bolt was bent) and noticed there was a rubber gasket between the mast step and the deck. Is this normal? Do I need such a gasket or can I just use caulk around the holes in the deck and maybe around the base of the maststep?
