Mast Step Repair

I have searched the archives from some instructions on repairing the mast step when the wood deteriotes in the deck.I would appreciate some input from other owner on how to accomplish this repair.Thanks

Look on the Catalina 30 site under technical Library then look at mast column fix

Fixing the deck

It is not the column that I am repairing, but the deck, directly below the maststep plate.Ed
