Was anyone elses H240 affected by the factory failing to properly fill the void between the liner and the compression post area. My dealer had to come out several months after I took delivery to fill this void. Apperantly there was a few boats that got out of the factory without this void being filled. Now my boat is nearing the end of it's third season, and I have two cracks in the liner. Both cracks begin at the compression post and travel away for about 2". I will be contacting Hunter this week. I was curious if anyone else has had the same problem, and if the fix was simple or labor intensive.

Have not

experienced this with our 99 H240. I should hope that Hunter would make it right. Your Dealer should be the first to offer contacting the factory... Good Luck

Hunter responded very promptly and is going to cover work once I get an estimate from a local yard.

Nice to hear from you. I haven't seen you on the forum lately. Miss your input. I'll give you a call this week. I know what your talking about with being strung out from work. I've only got out on the boat last month 3 times. Hope everything is going good with the new location Sean

I had a huge crack for that very reason

Mine is a 98. Halfway through the summer of 98 I noticed a creeking noise with the rock of the boat. Obseving the cabin roof I spied a significant stress crack that gradually widened & lenghtened to my horror. I called the dealer & he told me the story about the few that got away. Hunter sent him the "stuff" to fix it. Then he sent my boat to a local fiberglass man and you can not see where the crack was. The boat sails fine now with no creeks, creaks or cracks. (and it's been two more seasons since the problem) Let your dealer fix it and don't worry about future similar problems. Joe R
