Have recently purchased a 1980 O'day 23. Having stepped the mast I have noticed that one of the spreaders has a noticable downward angle. It suggests that someone may have ascended the mast and stood on the spreaders. I'd estimate that the spreader is out of line by 2 to 3 inches. There is no visible sign of cracks or crimp to the spreader. Should I have this checked and/or replaced? Any risk with leaving it?

spreaders

spreaders should attach to stay so that the angles of the stay/spreader are the same above as below spreader. there should be a way to adjust spreader by loosening the end cap of the spreader and adjust properly. prob no reason to replace.
