My mast has a built in groove for the nylon cylinders which attach to the sail luff. How does one keep these cylinders(cant think of the proper name)from falling out of the loading opening when the sail is lowered?Would appreciate a description or a sketch of a device that works. Thanks,Tom

Sail Stop

Tom, the easiest way is to use a sail stop. This is a slug with a screw and knurled head. Ths "stop" is placed in the slot and tightened to lock it in position. You can purchase at West Marine and other baoting supply places - I spent 20 minutes a couple of weeks ago looking for one and then, when I got to the boat, found the slug diameter did not fit my boat.
