Catalina 2000 22' Mast raising system
Hi there, I know how one can feel as though they are all alone out there but you really aren't and there will be plenty of fellow sailors to help out as soon as the weather turns bad and drives them from their boats to being back online LOL if you know what I mean? I have a new cat 22 with the mast raisning system from Catalina but , because of the way their system is made with a hole in the front or forward base of the mast, you would have to do some real drastictic changes to your mast to be able to utilize this system I have, but I will be willing to take pictures of it and send along if you wish. I think what you really need is to have one of us who has the Catalina Direct version to send you some pics and specifics, regarding sizes of material. Also where they attach is much different then mine. It may take a week or two but I'll send what I have along.

Maybe you have been living in Mexico too long but there are such things as copy right and patent right laws in the United States. Also if you would have checked out the web site I advised you to you would have discovered how to build a home made mast up. P.S. I hope you build your mast up out of aluminum, you'll get the results you deserve.

Nothing wrong in building something for yourself
or giving info to someone if there is no money involved. Who says its against the law to recreate a product for individual use? If I wanted to copy a Ford Taurus, buy all the parts and build it for myself , I would be allowed to. I would be infringing on copyright laws if I took the ideas , recreated them and produced a commercially available product. Or sold somebody elses plans/ideas, outright .
