Gin Pole
The most effortless ways to raise a mast is to get what is commonly referred to as a Gin Pole. You should search the web for some articles on mast raising, and you will probably find some pictures/illustrations. You will need some rigging as well - a block and a line with a clip on the end should do. Proper mast raising is more technique than strength.
