Well gang, here I am in Annapolis after a 12 hour drive. Everything
checks out on the boat except the mast. Every Albin I have seen has a
gold anodized mast. This one is plain aluminum. It is made by
Proctor. All the halyards are external. Are these normal features
for a 1976 Albin? Also there is a bit of compression on the deck
directly under the mast - a slight indentation of approx. 3/16 inch
all the way around the base of the mast. No evidence of flexing
below. Should I be concerned? Can the deck-step area for the mast be
strengthened? Thanks. Trevor
