Does anyone know what the paint/finish is on a 1981 Hunter22's mast? The paint is flaking off so I have do refinish it. I will be doing it myself and would like to do a decent job.
I would use polyurathane, preferably 2 part sprayed. However, if you want to roller and brush it, one part should be fine too. The main thing is that aluminum is hard to get paint to stick to sometimes, so the prep work will need to be great. I don't know for sure, but a self etching primer may work well. Chris
