Mast on deck

I want to take my H-36 through a canal where low bridges will require that I step the mast(55 feet). I would love to hear from folks on how best to deal with the mast on deck. Do I need to build brackets? Any plans for same out there? Any ideas on this appreciated.

Our mast was down this summer

Tom,We had the mast down twice this summer on our 35.5 for transiting the Champlain canal from lake Champlain to NY and back. I have many pictures of the mast supports I built. If you want I could share these pictures with you. I am including one here.You can contact me trough this site.

Mast supports

Yes, I would like to see more pictures if you have them. We keep our boat at Point Bay in Charlotte, VT on Lake Champlain and plan to go down the canal and into the Hudson next summer which is why I am asking the question. Any comments you have on the canal and suggestions on who used to take the mast up and down would also be appreciated.
