While on the mooring or at anchor, the wires inside the Oday 23 mast slap around making alot of noise disturbing my afternoon naps. I was thinking of stuffing some plastic garbage bags inside the mast to cushion those wires. Any Ideas or other suggestions? Thanks...

I have no experience, but some people slide foam pipe insulation on the wires. gene

Cable ties or insulation

When I rewired my mast, I put PVC pipe inside the mast and put my wires inside that. I put pipe insulation around the PVC to keep it from moving around. I have heard of people also simply putting cable ties around the wires and leaving the long tails in place to keep them from moving around. I have had no problems with my approach. I used

those plastic wire tie wraps when I rewired the mast. I just simply put one about every 18 inches to two feet along the wire. Then I just simply didn't cut the excess 'tail' off. The tail helps to hold the wire in one place inside the mast. Haven't had any wire slapping noise since.
