I have a 1990 Hunter 30 - has this year boat experienced any problems with deck core failure - where the mast mounts to the compression pole? Anyone have any info. on that? Also - since the standing rigging is 15 years old - do I need to be concerned about replacing all of the standing rigging? Bob

I have not heard of any problems with the compression post. Don't know about the rigging - mine is fine but I am on a freshwater lake.

Have the rigging inspected
Stainless doesn't last forever. Re-rigging is cheaper that dismasting. (It is stain-less, not stain-free steel. It does rust.) Check chainplates too. Mine are good, but a lot of friends have had cracks in theirs. Best to have it checked or check it yourself.
