Wondering if anyone has any recommendations and/or experience with the different mast mount manufacturers for a 18" Raymarine radar. Big difference in pricing between Raymarine, Seaview and Scanstrut. Seems like the same materials - any difference in ease oin installlation, mounting hardware provided, ease of radar attachment, etc.. Any experiences, thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

I used a scanstrut on my 290 back in 2002 and was easy to rivert and run wires with the mast laying down,I think who ever is the best price is good.

I'd go with price as seaddler suggests. They're all good. But if you've got a combination steaming/deck light, try to mount the radome above that. The PO on my boat had it mounted below the combo light. The result is that it effectively blocks the deck light! Next time the mast is down I'm going to run wiring over to the lower spreaders and mount spreader lights. Or possibly add a deck light to the underside of the radome mount.

Re: Scanstrut

Seadaddler and windsock - thanks for the tips and recommendations. Great point with the deck light - something to overlook while getting the bracket up.

Kato Marine here in Annapolis makes most of the mounts that get installed locally. They're custom made to fit the mast section and have a nice protective ring to keep the headsail off the radome when tacking.
