Hi John, I have a '91 Hunter 18.5, and while I can't tell you which bulb numbers I used, they were standard automotive bulbs. They were tubular, about an inch or a bit less long, and the contacts were on each end of the bulb. They snap into and out of clip contacts. I'm not positive, but I think all of my bulbs were the same. If no other definitive answer comes along, buying a couple of bulbs to match the stern, cabin or nav lights should give you a shot at going up the mast only once! Hope this helps, Rob
