Mast Head line question

The mast head assembly on my O'day 25 has room for two eye-spliced lines to be hung. One is for the topping lift. The other is probably just the function of the design.

Is there any reason to hang two topping lifts while I have the mast down? Maybe try to fit a small sheave for running a line for a burgee or glad?

If you have the mast down, and you could run a flag halyard, you might as well. You never know when you're going to get a deal for a 3' by 5' Calico Jack pirate flag off of amazon.com for $0.01 with $4.99 shipping, and buy it, only to realize it's going to be real difficult to fly that big a flag off your backstay. Just sayin'.

But hey, for $5.00 shipped, I hadda do it. You know, for the boy. 'Cos he's really into the Pirates of the Carribean movies right now...
