I have a C-27 and it seems to me that there should be a keeper for the mast gate to help in reefing the main. Does anyone know if one exists and where do I get one? I thought about having one made up but the contour of the mast, track and gate does not make it easy. With the stop in place, above the gate, the sail strains when reefed. It looks as though the shackles want to come down to meet the boom but can't.
