Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can fill me on the 39' Ericsons, I'm in the process of purchaseing one with no mast and want to know what were getting into. I'm in love with the boat I just dont know where to begin looking for a mast and what kind of Cost's I should expect. By the looks of things all the standing rigging is intact so no worries there. I want to know what was the traditional size of the mast. As the Ericsons were known for their raceing abilities were they fractional rigs ? Also would like to ask any current owners of 39' 's what they think of their boats. I have mostly sailed raceing boats 33' an smaller.I had the joy of raceing a 25' Ericson from the 70's Era and it's what sold me on buying this one. This will be my first propper boat purchase, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
